Stacking Symbols Generator โ Layered Marks, Boxed Letters and Nested Frames
A stacking symbols generator layers decoration onto text in three ways: marks piled on each letter (Tฬฟeฬฟxฬฟtฬฟ), letters that sit in their own box (๐ ๐ ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐บ), and frames nested around the line (โฆ โช โจ Stack โฉ โซ โง). All of it is plain Unicode, so it pastes into a name or bio as you see it.
The Layers chips set the depth, from 1 to 3. Each extra layer adds one more mark per letter or one more frame on each side, and that cost adds up fast in a 30-character name.

That last one is the trap. It looks great, but at 32 characters it wonโt fit an Instagram or TikTok name, which stops at 30.
Usernames
Can you use stacked symbols in a username?
No. Instagram and TikTok usernames accept only letters, numbers, periods and underscores, X usernames only letters, numbers and underscores, and Discord usernames only lowercase letters, numbers, periods and underscores.
Display names are where stacking works. Instagram and TikTok names allow 30 characters, X names 50, and Discord server nicknames 32, so one layer of marks or one frame fits comfortably in all of them.

Feeds
Why do stacked names get cut off in feeds?
Two ways: from the side and from the top. Feed rows cut long names with โโฆโ, so a three-layer frame can lose its closing brackets and look broken.
The top gets cut too. Stacked marks draw above the letter, and single-line rows in comment lists and notifications often clip anything taller than the line, so a three-layer stack can lose its top marks. One layer survives almost everywhere.
- For names: 1 layer, or boxed letters, which donโt add height.
- For bios: 2 layers is fine, with a blank line above and below to give the marks room.
Accessibility
How do screen readers read stacked symbols?
Some read every piece. Depending on the reader, Tฬฟeฬฟxฬฟtฬฟ can come out as โT, combining double overline, e, combining double overlineโฆโ, and ๐ may be announced as โsquared Latin capital letter Sโ.
Frames are gentler, since they only add a few words at each end, like โleft angle bracketโ. If people need to hear your name clearly, use a single frame around plain letters, such as โฆ Stack โฆ.
Display checks
How do you check stacked text looks right on phones?
Preview it on White and Dark, then paste it into the real app. Stacked marks are positioned by each phoneโs font, so a three-mark stack that sits neatly on an iPhone can collide on some Android phones.
Squared letters like ๐ are the other risk. They were added to Unicode in 2009 and 2010, so older Android phones can show them as empty boxes.
- Safest: Nested frames and Circled letters, which older phones handle well.
- Check first: Stacks of 3 layers and Negative Squares on older Android phones.
