Your Facebook Intro allows 101 characters. Decorations add to that.

How to Use the Facebook Stylish Text Generator

  1. Type your headline first. Put your opening line at the top. Facebook shows only a few lines before โ€œSee moreโ€, so that line has to do the work.

  2. Pick a headline or list style. Bold Headline or Sparkle Caps suits the first line. For lists, use a Bullets card like โœ” or โžค.

  3. Check light and dark. Switch between Light feed and Dark mode. Thin cursive styles can be hard to read in the dark app, and in a busy group thread a short bold line reads better than a whole styled comment.

  4. Copy, then keep the rest plain. Paste the styled line into your post and write the details in normal text.

Tip: Tag people with Facebook's own @ picker, not styled text, so the people you mention still get notified.

The guide

Facebook Stylish Text โ€“ Make Posts, Bios and Comments Stand Out

Facebook stylish text is regular text made from Unicode letters that already look bold, cursive or decorated, so the style stays when you paste it into a post, comment or Intro. Facebook has no bold button for posts, so this is how people add headlines and emphasis.

Nothing is installed and nothing is hidden. Your friends see exactly the characters you pasted, on phones and computers alike.

Where can you use stylish text on Facebook?

Almost everywhere you write freely. The exception is your profile name, which has strict rules.

Posts

How do you write a Facebook post that stops the scroll?

Put a short bold headline on the first line, leave a blank line, then write the rest in plain text. Facebook shows only the first few lines before "See more", so that opening line decides whether anyone taps.

Here's a real-world case. A home bakery posting "๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ต ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐˜†" on line one, then the menu in plain text below, reads like a shop sign. The same post all in cursive would be pretty but slow to read on a phone.

  • One headline style per post. Bold Headline or Sparkle Caps, not both.
  • Use bullets for lists. โœ” or โžค at the start of each line turns a wall of text into something people can scan.
  • Keep prices, phone numbers and addresses plain. Styled digits can't be tapped to call or copied into a map.
  • Don't style the words people search for. Facebook search won't match ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜† to "bakery".

Themes

Which styles read best in the light feed and in dark mode?

Bold Headline, Small Caps and Italic Sans read well in both. Thin styles like Cursive and Italic Serif look lovely on a white desktop feed but fade on the app's dark grey background.

Use the Light feed and Dark mode buttons above the cards to compare. If a style looks faint in dark mode, pick its bold version, such as Cursive Bold instead of Cursive.

Names

Why can't you use fancy fonts in your Facebook name?

Facebook's name rules block symbols, unusual capitalization and characters mixed from different alphabets. Styled Unicode letters break all three, so the name field rejects them.

Name changes are also limited to once every 60 days. Put your personality in your Intro instead, where 101 characters is plenty for a styled one-liner.

FAQ

Facebook Stylish Text FAQ

How do I make bold text in a Facebook post?

Type your line into the box above, tap Copy on the Bold Headline card, and paste it into your post. Facebook has no bold button for regular posts, so Unicode letters are the way to do it.

Bold one line, not the whole post. It stands out more that way and stays easy to read.

Why won't Facebook let me save a stylish profile name?

Facebook's name rules don't allow symbols or unusual characters, so styled letters get rejected. This applies to personal profile names.

Use your Intro for a styled line instead. It sits right under your name on your profile.

Does stylish text hurt my post's reach?

There's no public evidence that Facebook shows posts less because of Unicode fonts. The real cost is that styled words don't match searches and are hard for screen readers.

Style the headline and keep key words plain. That way the post looks good and stays findable.

Why does my stylish text show as boxes on some phones?

Those phones are missing a font for the characters, so they draw empty boxes. Bold, Italic and Small Caps work on nearly every phone updated in the last few years.

Decorative symbols like โŠฑ or โŸฆ are the most likely to break. If many of your followers use older phones, stick to the Headlines and Clean groups.

Why is my Intro cut off or refusing to save?

It's over the 101-character limit once symbols and emojis are counted. Keep the tool in Intro mode and pick a card that shows under 101.

Some styled letters may count as two characters, so leave a little room. Dropping a frame like โœฆ โ€ฆ โœฆ saves four characters straight away.
