The guide
Text Case Converter โ Title Case, UPPERCASE, lowercase and Sentence Case
A text case converter changes which letters are capitals without retyping anything: โa guide to writing with confidenceโ becomes โA Guide to Writing with Confidenceโ in Title Case, or โA guide to writing with confidenceโ in Sentence case. The output is ordinary letters, not a special font, so it works in every app, search box and screen reader.
That makes this the one tool on the site you can use for serious copy: headlines, email subjects, product titles and code names.
Which case should you use where?
| Case | Example | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Title Case | A Guide to Writing with Confidence | Headlines, blog titles, YouTube titles |
| Sentence case | A guide to writing with confidence | Email subjects, buttons, most UI text |
| UPPERCASE | A GUIDE TO WRITING | Short labels, never whole paragraphs |
| Hashtag Case | #AGuideToWriting | Readable multi-word hashtags |
| snake_case / kebab-case | a_guide_to / a-guide-to | File names, code and URL slugs |
What most guides miss
Whatโs the difference between Chicago and AP title case?
Long prepositions. Both styles lowercase short words like a, the, and, of and to, but they split on words like โwithโ, โfromโ, โintoโ and โoverโ.
Chicago keeps every preposition lowercase, whatever its length. AP capitalises any word of four letters or more. Both always capitalise the first and last word, and this tool also capitalises the word after a colon.

Brand names survive both. Words you type in capitals (SEO, NASA) or mixed case (iPhone, YouTube) stay as typed, unless you switch Acronyms to Convert them too.
Headlines
Which case works best for headlines and titles?
Title Case for most headlines, Sentence case for anything that should feel conversational. Both fit anywhere, because case changes never add characters: a 100-character YouTube title stays 100 characters.
Avoid all caps in ads and listings. Google Ads rejects ads with excessive or gimmicky capitalisation, like โFREE SHIPPINGโ, and Amazonโs listing guidelines ask sellers not to write product titles in all caps.

Length
Does changing case change the character count?
Almost never. Case changes swap letters one for one, so a 150-character Instagram bio is still 150 characters in UPPERCASE.
There are two exceptions. The German ร becomes SS in capitals, so โstraรeโ (6 characters) turns into โSTRASSEโ (7). And the code and hashtag cases remove spaces, so snake_case and #HashtagCase come out slightly shorter than the original.
Older devices
Will converted text display on older phones?
Yes. Unlike the fancy font styles elsewhere on this site, case conversion uses the same AโZ letters every device has had for decades, so nothing turns into boxes.
The only surprises are language-specific. In Turkish, a capital i has a dot (ฤฐ), but this tool uses language-neutral rules, so โistanbulโ becomes โISTANBULโ. If a word you rely on comes out wrong, send it to linkjuiceworld@gmail.com and weโll look at adding a rule for it.
Readability
Is all caps bad for readability?
For anything longer than a few words, yes. Capitals all have the same height, so words lose the shape readers use to recognise them, and a paragraph in capitals reads as shouting.
Case also matters for accessibility. A screen reader reads #thequickguide as one long word, but #TheQuickGuide as three, which is why accessibility guides recommend Hashtag Case (also called camel case) for multi-word hashtags.
- Use capitals for: labels of one to three words, like NEW or SALE.
- Use Hashtag Case for: every hashtag with more than one word.
